HIGH SUPPLY OF CHILEAN KIWIFRUIT CAUSE LOW PRICES IN COLOMBIA

Colombia has been facing a high supply of Chilean kiwifruit for about two months. Colombian buyers have been importing Chilean kiwifruit at a low average FOB price of USD 10 per box of 10kg. Despite the kiwifruit inventory in Colombia being low in W35, the market did not show increasing prices as local buyers tried to move and sell their inventory in preparation of a large incoming shipment since three delayed ships will arrive in the upcoming weeks.
