Our farmer earns 25 thousand liras from 1 decare of land. \u201cProvincial Directorate of Agriculture and the chambers of agriculture should work on this. Thus, we will offer an alternative product to the farmers. An estimated 5 thousand tons of watermelon is produced in Duzce. It provides a great income to our farmers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Watermelon producer \u0130rfan Hatip said, \u201cThe property of D\u00fczce watermelon is more from its soil than from its seed. The characteristics of Duzce soil are reflected in the watermelon. Even if any seed characteristics is planted, it will have the of Duzce. We started harvesting as of July 18. It will be sold for 5 liras per kilogram.\u201d<\/p>\n
