There is no need to look for other alternative products in Düzce. 5 tons of watermelon comes out of 1 decare. Today, its weight is 5 liras. Our farmer earns 25 thousand liras from 1 decare of land. “Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and the chambers of agriculture should work on this. Thus, we will offer an alternative product to the farmers. An estimated 5 thousand tons of watermelon is produced in Duzce. It provides a great income to our farmers,” he said.

Watermelon producer İrfan Hatip said, “The property of Düzce watermelon is more from its soil than from its seed. The characteristics of Duzce soil are reflected in the watermelon.
