POSITIVE AND STABLE MANGO MARKET IN EUROPE

Pico Agriviet

With the West African mango campaign nearing its end, the last volumes from Senegal are about to be absorbed by the European market, leaving more space for other origins such as Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and, to a lesser extent, Brazil. The European market currently makes no distinction between varieties with both the Tommy Atkins and Keitt varieties taking advantage of the good market conditions.

The Spanish mango season is just getting started, but the brix level is still too low for a good ripening, so many growers prefer to wait a little longer. Spain is expected to have a large 2022 crop with mostly small sizes. The European market situation is expected to remain favourable and stable for at least 3 more weeks. In W33 mangoes were trading at USD 6.00-7.50/4kg box, depending on the size.
